Goola Kids: A Playful Sans Serif Font for Business Branding

Goola Kids for Bakery Packaging and Handmade Product Labels

As a creative consultant who helps small businesses refine their brand identity, I recently worked with a local bakery looking to refresh their packaging. They wanted something fun, memorable, and just a little quirky—something that would stand out on shelves and feel approachable to customers. That’s when I reached for Goola Kids, a blocky sans serif font that brings a unique personality to any design project.

Goola Kids is the kind of font that immediately catches your eye without overwhelming the message. Its bold, chunky letters and subtle ligatures give it a playful edge, making it ideal for product packaging, labels, and other customer-facing materials. For the bakery, we used it on the front of their custom cookie boxes and cupcake wrappers. The result? A look that felt more polished than their previous handwritten labels, but still retained that handmade charm.

Goola Kids for Café Menus and Print Materials

Another project where Goola Kids really shined was a neighborhood café’s menu redesign. The owner wanted to keep the menu clean and easy to read but also inject a bit of personality into the space. We used the sans serif font for all the menu headings—from “Daily Specials” to “Kids’ Menu”—and paired it with a more traditional sans serif for the descriptions.

The blocky nature of Goola Kids made the headings pop without making the menu feel cluttered. It helped create a visual hierarchy that guided the customer’s eye naturally. Since the café also prints weekly chalkboard signs and seasonal flyers, we reused the same font there to maintain consistency. This kind of typographic repetition builds brand recognition, even in small, everyday details.

Goola Kids for Social Media Graphics and Digital Branding

In today’s digital world, a business’s online presence is just as important as its physical one. That’s why I often recommend Goola Kids for Instagram templates, online shop banners, and digital ads. Its bold structure makes it highly readable even on small mobile screens, and the ligatures add a subtle decorative touch that elevates the overall look.

For a handmade candle brand I worked with recently, we used Goola Kids across all their Instagram stories and product images. It worked beautifully on promotional banners and quote graphics. Because it’s a display font, it’s best used for short phrases and headlines rather than long paragraphs, which makes it perfect for the fast-scrolling nature of social media.

Font Pairing Ideas with Goola Kids

One of the keys to using Goola Kids effectively is knowing how to pair it with other fonts. Since it’s a bold, decorative sans serif, it works best when balanced with something clean and minimal. For example, pairing it with a simple sans serif like Open Sans or Montserrat for body text creates a strong contrast that’s both modern and readable.

If the brand has a more elegant or feminine aesthetic, you could even pair it with a soft script font for secondary text. Just remember: Goola Kids should be the star of the show. Use it for headlines, logos, and featured text, and let the supporting fonts stay neutral and functional.

What to Check Before Using Goola Kids in Commercial Projects

Before downloading any font for business use, always double-check the licensing terms. Goola Kids is a commercial font, which means it can be used in product packaging, branding materials, and digital marketing assets—but it’s always good to confirm the specific permissions included with your purchase.

Also, take a look at what styles and alternates are included. Does the font come with ligatures that enhance its character? Are there multiple weights available for different applications? Make sure the file formats are compatible with your design software, especially if you're using it for both print and digital work.

And if you're designing for international markets, check for multilingual support to ensure the font can accommodate all your brand’s messaging needs.
